Eligibility, Classes of Membership and Dues

All individuals of Indian descent in the Starkville and surrounding areas will be classified as Members at Large of INDICO-Starkville by default. However, separate membership categories have been established for voting purposes, which the Board of Directors will periodically review and set along with the associated dues. The current membership categories and dues are as follows:

Patron Member: Contributes $2,501 or more. Membership includes lifetime membership for the member and spouse, both with voting rights and their children under 18 without voting rights. It also includes free entry to all ticketed events.

Life Member: Individuals contributing a minimum of $250.00 in a single year to INDICO-Starkville will be recognized as life members.

Family Life members: Contributes at least $400 in a single year. Membership includes lifetime membership for the member and spouse, both with voting rights and their children under 18 years old without voting rights.

Individual Member: Members who pay an annual membership fee of $25.

Family Members: Members who contributes at least $40 in a single year. Membership includes annual membership for the member and spouse, both with voting rights, and their children under 18 years old without voting rights.

Student Member: Students enrolled in college or university, pay annual dues of $10.

Membership benefits

Members shall be eligible to vote and contest for official positions of the organization.

They shall be eligible to participate in planning and execution of INDICO-Starkville events.

Members and member families will be given priority in the INDICO-Starkville sponsored classes and workshops/seminars.

Membership Period

The annual membership period shall be from January 1 to December 31.

Transfer of Membership

Membership in INDICO-Starkville shall not be transferable or assignable to other persons. Members may, however, convert the membership to a different class.
